Yes, no, well, am I ready? Yes, I believe you are. Ok, then, I am ready. For what, you say. Well, I am ready for you to glean from me what can help you in your walk of life. I want to share my experiences and insights with you so that your journey may be easier and more enlightened. I am a 49 year old mother of 4 and step-mother to one, all grown children but a few still in their late teens. Those teens are the scarey and detached times where your faith grows to let God take over when you can no longer catch them when they fall. In my life I have concentrated my formal education on another valuable age of transition – the first years of school. Age 5, what a magic age! After raising my children above this age, I returned to school and achieved a teaching degree with an emphasis on the young child and further complimented that with a masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction. My professional developments and continuing education requirements always steer themselves toward helping the younger learner and I find myself with a compassionate understanding of the age. My husband calls me an empath and I find that is the insight for making sense of the five year old mind. Now with nearly three grandchildren and nearly 40 kindergarten kids each year, I am inside the young child’s mind almost constantly searching for connections to make learnings stick. So, look for insights on the young child or any child and even adult children as I, guided by God’s word, share with you. -sk
